I was happy to meet up with my friend Dr. Bret Scher at Low Carb Denver to record an episode of the Diet Doctor podcast. Bret is a cardiologist from San Diego, and an enthusiastic low carb practitioner who has helped many patients using diet, not more drugs. Like many physicians using low carb diets, we’ve been amazed at the transformation in people’s health.
In this podcast we discussed many issues I hadn’t previously talked about in much detail, including the metabolic side of diseases that had never previously been considered, such as PCOS and cancer. The topic of cancer is an extremely interesting one to me, because it is not purely a dietary disease, but the dietary determinants have often been ignored.
